During two weekends in November, The Missions Thrift Store is taking donations for the first time since its closing due to a fire this summer. While we are accepting donations now, the store itself will not open until January 2020.
Our outdoor donation boxes are closed at this time and we are only accepting in-person donations until further notice (watch this website and our social media pages for more information).
On Saturdays, November 9 and November 16, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and on Sundays, November 10 and November 17, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., we will accept donations at both the Millbrook and Wake Forest campuses of Crossroads Fellowship. Volunteers will be there ready to assist you.
Your donations of new and gently used clothing, furniture, toys and housewares (see what we do not accept below) may be brought to one of our two locations of Crossroads Fellowship:
-Millbrook Campus of Crossroads Fellowship, 2721 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh, NC 27604. Upon entering the campus from the Millbrook Road entrance, turn right and follow the parking lot to the back of the building. You will see several volunteers ready to help you unload your items curbside. They’ll take the items directly from your vehicle and you don’t even have to get out.
-Wake Forest Campus of Crossroads Fellowship, 13029 Keith Store Rd., Wake Forest, NC 27587. After turning into the Wake Forest campus, turn right and follow the parking lot to the back of the building where you will see several volunteers ready to collect your donations directly from your vehicle.
During the week of November 11-15, donations will only be accepted at Crossroads Fellowship’s Millbrook location from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. After entering the campus from Millbrook Road, turn right and follow thrift store signs towards the back of the building. You will see a garage roll-up door and a volunteer ready to take your donations. If it’s raining or no one is at the roll-up door, donors can ring a bell notifying volunteers you are there.
The onsite donation boxes at both the Millbrook and Wake Forest campuses will be closed during the two donation kickoff weekends and the week of November 11. During this time, donations will only be accepted in person during the designated hours. No after-hours donations will be accepted until further notice.
Our new store opening in January 2020 will include a special boutique area featuring brand name items, rare finds and unique treasures. In addition to general donations, we’re also accepting items for this new boutique area within the store.
Volunteers will be handing out receipts for donations made during the November 9-10, 16-17 weekends and during the week of November 11. Receipts can also be obtained after making your donation by sending us an email. Please put “Receipt Request” in the subject line of the email.
We Need Your Help!
We’ll need lots of volunteers to help process and sort new donations. See the days and times we need people and sign up for a two-hour shift.
