Missions Thrift didn't start out as a store. Instead, Crossroads Fellowship and its members held big yard sales to raise money for local and international missions work.
Transformation of a Warehouse into a Thriving Place
A Journey from Black & Decker to Dedication
After the church dedicated a part of the huge Black & Decker warehouse building it bought for its main campus in the mid-1990s and turned it into a store, it opened for business in July 2011.
Over the years, Missions Thrift Store has gained a reputation for selling quality new and gently used goods and clothing at affordable prices. The retail floor space is organized, clean, and bright. Donated items are sorted, and the quality saleable items are put out on the floor. Best of all, this place doesn’t smell like a musty thrift store.

During the summer of 2019, a fire caused serious smoke and water damage from the fireworks it set off. All the contents of the store had to be thrown out.
The repairs that had to be made to the space due to the fire damage gave Missions Thrift Store the opportunity to update the store with new lighting, paint, decor, and signage. The space is now even brighter and more welcoming to people looking for deals in a secondhand store.
From Grand Re-Opening to Pandemic Closure
The Re-Opening & Adaptation
The “new” Missions Thrift Store opened its doors to the public with a grand re-opening celebration, ribbon cutting, and sale in January 2020.
Just a few months later, the store had to close for two months due to the coronavirus pandemic. When the rules were lifted and businesses were allowed to reopen, Thrift Store put in place more rules for cleaning, sanitizing, and safety to make sure that customers, volunteers, and staff were safe. Thrift Store held its Decade of Thrift party in January 2021 to honor the store's 10th anniversary and thank the community for all of its support over the years.

The event honored shoppers who visited that day with ice cream, photo opportunities, and 5% off everything in the store.
Over its now 10-plus years in business, Thrift Store has donated more than $1 million to local and global missions outreach partners and served more than 200,000 thrift store customers. Volunteers have donated more than 65,000 hours of their time.
